Indie films in a sea of special effects and vampires

and while the world is going crazy about James Cameron's 3D masterpiece, I decide to keep out of the mass-craze around me and stick to more "Earthly" pictures.

I am so very fond of Ben Whishaw that I could not wait for Bright Star to come out. And now after seeing it, I remained speechless, going back, searching through the whole database to find every single movie he has been in. Starting from My Brother Tom.. They are all brilliant. Each and every single one.
In the loop is a comedy about politics and the unsuccessful "attempts" not to start a war (they do not say which war exactly although the Middle East has been mentioned a few times). Hopefully, all that the movie shows is fictional, because if this is how decisions are made.. .. I am sure you'll enjoy the BBC role in the movie.
Adam is a movie that you have seen thousands of times, in different forms, under different names and with different plots. The impossible romantic relationship between "normal" and "not-so-normal" people in contemporary society that films tend to portray happily. Anywho.. a nice, romantic, comedy for the cozy winter nights in bed (or somebody else's bed).
Enjoy! I somehow managed to stay away from blockbusters featuring sexy vampires (oh my God Asia is CRAZY about the Saga), apocalyptic future and worlds from outer space... they do not seem interesting anymore (yeah I understand that the effects are massive but not for me, thanks)
